Now that Ford has announced a new partnership for the Sync 3 system in 2016, I would guess our chances of getting any sort of upgrade to the existing Sync are slim to none.

Shit, I have experienced that before. I rented a Taurus last year to go storm chasing, and the Sync system in there freaked out with my phone. It was random as hell, and SUPER annoying.

I remember the songs speeding up for sure.

To my surprise, it has gotten a lot better. Didnt do it at all on me today. I think it was slow because it was downloading my phone book when I tested it. Now that everything is synced it's working bad ass. So, I eat my words, my bad ford and MS Sync ;)

I think the quality of the phone makes a big difference as sync is an extension of your phone's capabilites. My HTC M8 bluetooth sound is worlds better than my Samsung s4 was.

I figure a brand new iPhone 6+ wouldn't be bad. I mean even my iPhone 5 would connect with no issues on my SUV.

I tried the line in option with my phone, the sound quality is actually lower than bluetooth through the wired aux connection. I confirmed this today, bluetooth is so much better quality, night and day.
