Sync update

So I got my car in July and when I sign into my ford it says software is up to date. Says last updated July 2015. Can't find the link anywhere to the download??

i have a sync update as well, mine hasn't been updated since Oct. 2014....I cannot get it to work to save my life....I downloaded it, unzipped it into a folder, put the folder and files onto a USB drive, and when I go to install it, it tells me one of the files didn't download correctly, or is corrupt....I've tried 2 USBs and the same thing....getting pissed off so I quit trying it

Try a different USB thumb drive. I tried several before getting the update to take on my Escape.

And don't do the quick format. I had one that I use all the time with my MFT stuff and suddenly wouldn't work right anymore. Got the corrupt file errors, etc. Worked fine after a FULL reformat of it.

do you guys know how to do the update over wifi, somebody said they do theirs over wifi but wouldn't help me when I asked how, and everything I have seen online shows you need a USB drive....

Hey Gdyup50,

We don't offer over the air (WiFi) updates with MFT. A USB flash drive is required to complete the installation.

It sounds like you need another USB flash drive. Make sure the drive has no other files/folders on it. The best way to ensure this is to format the drive to FAT32 like jmr061 said.

Once you have done that, the only items you should copy to the drive are the SyncMyRide file folder, the autoinstall.lst file, and the DONTINDX.MSA file.

Yes especially if you use apple. Mft now plays very well with Siri. Long press the voice button on wheel and Siri comes up instead of sync girl. Then use Siri as you would on phone.
