Thanks for the info. At this point, we'd need Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek to do a little bit of side-attacks possibly during the update process. I don't think there is an easy way around spoofing a AES256 CA, at least not with today's computing power.

Yep, agreed! If one could get file system access and add their own root CA to whatever keychain the OS uses, it’s possible you could side load apps signed with your own cert. At that point, however, you already have file system access, so what’s the use.
