Good I hope this is the way it will be.You don't have to "not pair your phone" if you don't like the 911 services. When you first pair your phone, three questions pop up (at least on my 2011 Fusion it does)
1. Make Primary? (if you pair more than one phone)
2. Download Phonebook?
3. Enable 911 Assist?
You can still pair your phone and enjoy all the hands-free features while having the 911 Assist turned off completely.
There should be a way to turn off the reminder, per this document:My roommate has a new escape with MFT, and he said it did what GiddyUp says, however, the first time he set it up he clicked "no" for enable 911 assist, and the car would continually bother him about it every time he used the car until he changed it to "yes". So if you want it deactivated, it could add a bit of an annoyance to your daily drive.
