So what are the chances that we will be able to swap out our MFT systems for the new Sync 3 when it comes out? And what would you expect that to cost?

Pretty much zero chance. If by some miracle you can get it to work it'll be $$$.

Put it this way: it'd be cheaper to sell your 2015, buy a 2016, and eat the depreciation.

I care about infotainment
It won't be possible in any easy, or cost-effective way. If you want SYNC3 just wait for the 2016s; which is what many of us are doing.

Yeah, I see no reason for an upgrade. Have no problems whatsoever with MyFord Touch.

For me personally, Sync 3 will have CarPlay/Android Auto which is something I'm interested in.

Have also debated whether Sync 3 is worth waiting for and paying more - I figure at least $1,250+ more given the current rebate and $750 private cash.

I'm going to see my sales guy tomorrow morning. I asked whether you could still order a 2015 - he wasn't sure (via email over the weekend). Is it for sure that one can't or can one still get one through? Not sure I will be able to locate what I want in a 2015 - which is a very loaded GT Vert in Competition Orange - stick. Is the earliest I would see a 2016 ordered tomorrow really early August? Sounds like it unfortunately. Makes me ponder waiting then to order one beginning of 2016 as I would not be driving it from mid-October to April anyway as I'm in Upstate NY....

I will pretend I did not read that.
Go ahead...MFT and Sync 2 works just fine, see absolutely no reason to waste time waiting for Sync3 while you can be driving the car right now. Unless you're buying it to play with infotainment, then is absolutely makes perfect sense !

It's one of many factors going into the decision. Keep in mind, those of us who are likely waiting are stilling get a Mustang, just waiting a few extra months for it.

Personally I may still buy a 2015 if the price is right.
