Hi All Fellow S550 Mustangers. Just thinking about the computer in my car as in the Sync 3?
My capped price servicings have finished therefore causing the costs to nearly double when and if I get another genuine Ford dealer servicing. (Not forgetting the cost to throw the dirty cleaning rags in the bin for $25!).
So I am considering doing the mechanical side of the servicing myself (oil, coolant, spark plugs and whatever else I can do), (And throw the rags in the bin myself for $0) at the applicable intervals.
But not the computerised requirements as in the Sync 3 update. (I can check and clear codes with an OBD reader).
Does Ford need to know the status of ones car either by the genuine dealer servicing or maybe the CanBus (to Ford via the internet).
Might sound a bit weird but with these new fangled computerised cars, if they are not updated, they wont start? I don't have FordPass on my mobile phone.
I might be thinking out of the square, but give me a 1974 Valiant Charger any day lol.
