Yes it does show on the Window sticker, Sync 3, Signature Head Lamps and Universal Garage opener too, along with a list of items which we are not going to get.

However, wait until the ETIS for the same car is updated 3-4 days after the build, you will see a long - long list of MINUS items in it, Sync3 is just one of them.

Here is a Window Sticker of my friends, ECO Boost (VIN etc removed for privacy):

And here is the ETIS update after the Build was completed, showing (in bold) what has been removed/minus.

Also important to note that all those things on the sticker are most definitely not all standard inclusions in the USA

True, they are not, but then USA do have base models, we are getting Premium model with performance packs which means most of those options should be available if they are available in USA premium models.

Unfortunately we are getting what fits in the Euro standards, which is then made standard for all RHD cars for the rest of the world.

The sales person at GC dealership told me all communication for Australian cars (Mustang) is handled by FORD UK, and it might also be the primary contact for all RHD Mustangs too.

I'm almost considering asking if I can slide my build to June.. It's meant to be built next month but if I'm only 2 months shy of getting sync 3... It's a serious consideration.. Been waiting long enough, 2 months extra wouldn't kill me for a vastly improved infotainment system. Also adds to the resale value. Don't like my chances of sliding though, could see me ending up at the back of the queue instead of at the start of the June builds.

If the ability to play video or music from your phone is all you really want then there is an option from sintegrate which upgrades the sync 2 head unit

This is an add on module that provides igo navigation but also gives you a hdmi input and unlocks the system while car is in motion. The major downside is hat your phone needs to be cabled to the hdmi socket and you can't control the phone from your touch screen

It's purely a av input source

Upside it's available today and half the price of a full head unit upgrade

Yes you can. Sync 2 really isn't that bad. I have heard of one Aussie car that was mistakenly delivered with sync 3. Info came second hand so not sure if it's true.

No point getting worked up over software. This is a Mustang and that is the least of my worries. People get too caught up in wanting 'everything' which is not the point of this car.

In the electronics technology world, its impossible to be truely up to date. This type of stuff is constantly evolving. If you buy top of the line products they are usually close to worthless in 6 months because there is at least one direct and improved replacement developed already.

By the time aussie mustangs are built with SYNC 3, SYNC 4 will already be in the pipeline, and people will fret about that when the time comes too, just because it exists haha. No ones complaining about not having SYNC 5 yet are they?

Give me my SYNC 2! Just build the freaking car already!

When Ford discovered that they had lost my order back in January, my thoughts were "then why can't you slide everyone's car back a slot, and slip mine in and get it built?" For reasons to do with production schedules, they said that this was impossible. Their first thoughts were that I'd have to go to the back of the queue and wait another year, but they managed to find a car that was in the schedule that was set aside as a Press car, so bumped that and slid me in to that spot.

I don't think it would be an easy proposition to simply say to "slide it back a few months", but you never know your luck. Although if it is in a schedule, I'd be reluctant to do anything that would jeopardise that spot based on what could go wrong!
