True, but on that note Google Maps doesn't send you to your death with crashing walls it think not there, or take u on a road that is a path to hell or force u to get off the tollway even though u set it to accept tolls and choose faster route.

i'd take that over not having the speed limit sign any day of the week lol

Never had those issues with the stock Sync 3 maps, but I guess there's a first for everything...

i was driving a 2017 F150 with the updated sync 3 and the command voice is a different female. so i would assume it's the same for this update...i can't wait to try it out.

The female voice is different, some of the graphics are cleaner.

This does bring CarPlay, but it requires a USB port upgrade. People are still working that part out. I can say that Android Auto works great!

I can download this file to my iMac and stick it on a USB Flash drive and upload to my car that has SYNC 3 with NAV and get Apple Car play and NAV ?:shrug:

but I might need a better USB port :shrug:

Anyone has issues with the audio on Android Auto? When I start the vehicle, it plays music through the stock radio and pressing the Play Button on Spotify Android Auto does not play the music. I have to replug the phone in.

Phone: Nexus 6P with Android 7.0.

Give it a shot... if you get an error about file signature when you go to flash it is usually because you used a mac. Not sure if they have fixed this with newer updates.

If your mac can format usb drives as exFAT, you can use FAT32.

FYI, the install is a good 15 minutes, it'll say UPDATING at the top of the screen until it's done, then a complete message, then shut the car down for a few minutes fire it back up.

Some folks said the maps will indicate loading for several minutes, mine did for way longer and never did load until I cycled the car one more time (then they came right up).
