I've been having a problem recently with the audio in my 2016 ecoboost when I start up the car. This doesn't happen all the time, but maybe 1 in 10-15 times I start up the car, the audio just won't work. Nav works, and my phone pairs, but the audio just won't turn on. I have tried turning the car off for a few minutes and then turning it back on, but to no avail. I've also done the system reset - and it works - but the problem still keeps popping up.

I got my car at the end of March of this year.

Has anybody else had this problem and/or found a remedy for it? I talked to my dealership to see if there is a software update and they told me there wasn't (approx. 3 weeks ago).

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Un-pair your devices (phone), reset the system, and then re-evaluate. Chances are the issue is being induced by your device.

Hey gwsk10,

In this situation, you will want to perform the SYNC module reset or perform the sequence of an ignition cycle. See the steps for the reset below:

•Select radio.
•Hold the power button (center of the volume knob) + the right-seek button at the same time for up to 5 seconds.
The display will indicate when the module is resetting. You may then release the buttons.

You will need to follow these steps for an ignition cycle:

1. Turn off the vehicle, remove the key (if applicable), and open the driver’s door for 60 seconds.
2. Close the door and let the vehicle shut down for 60 seconds.
3. Turn the vehicle back on.
