Switched source 12V under the door trim

I need the switched source under the door trim panel to connect a small LED strip. I read on facebook a guy used the window power switch. I have no idea what cable should I use.

I can find switched source using multimeter but I cannot be sure about max current I can draw from it. I don't want to damage something. The LED strip I want to connect is small and the drain power shouldn't be big but I can imagine the limit of a wire can be lower. I don't know much about the electronic there.

The LED strip should have that information and your multimeter will tell you how much current is in that connection. Also MAX current will be the fuse. Roll the window up down take note of the draw then at what the LED draws. Add the 2 and if it below what the fuse is rated for yer good to go.

I have found it here on window and mirror switch harness. The black on the left side is negative. The brown on the right is switched 12V source.
