Well was on my way to the never ending lines of Walmart when I noticed the switch backs where flickering I'll try and put a vid when I figure it out. Any help much appreciated. Oh and I did beat on the lens to see if it's just loose but they didn't flicker or anything when I did it more of a timed thing. Left then right then left then right. With car running and off

This has happened to me as well. It's probably a connection issue with the pins from the bulb and the socket. You may have to try taking the bulb out, adjusting the pins, and reinstalling.

Mine have been working great now for an extended period of time.

I hope so I tried flipping them around and now only the passenger side is still acting up. I'll try and get them more lined up in the am

Check the pins on the bulb itself and make sure they are straight and aligned correctly, not if the bulb is going into the socket straight. As always, if there is an issue, contact Diode Dynamics, their customer support is fantastic!

I've had these on my car for a couple months and never had any problem. I had the benefit of reading that others had an issue with this. When I installed mine, I paid special attention to the instructions that mentioned about the pin alignment.

As @jbailer suggested, please check your bulb's pin alignment. A loose contact will cause the flickering to occur.

We've designed the pins on this bulb specifically for ideal fitment in the 2015+ Mustang's turn signal socket.

They have to be installed securely to operate correctly

Feel free to give us a call for more troubleshooting tips: (314) 205-3033

Thanks,
Nick C.

I was having this issue also. In addition, my passenger side taillight wouldn't come on sometimes (brake lights and turn signals ok, but no constant illumination.)

I carefully pulled the switchbacks out, but one pin got damaged when I did! It is all bent out of shape and I don't think I can fix it. Really upset as these are not cheap.

Is this covered under DD warranty??? Can I get a replacement set?
I wouldn't have pulled them out if I wasn't experiencing problems with them.

Now that the original bulbs are back in, no more taillight problems.

Smh, and these were marketed for "quality". These aren't the hardest issues to work out but for $60+ you shouldn't have ANY. It's a damn shame as I really like the look of them but I refuse to pay that much money for bulbs, especially with so many experiencing issues with them.

Absolutey covered under warranty, same thing happened to me. I screwed up the pins and Diode Dynamics sent me a replacement bulb. Email them at [email protected].

They are the highest quality LED switchbacks on the market, but the pins have to make full contact with the metal tabs in the socket to function properly.

That holds true for any LED bulb, regardless of quality.

In addition to being an exceptionally high quality bulb, we back our products with the best customer service in the industry and will always go the extra mile to make sure customers are taken care of.

I know it's frustrating if an issue arises, but we do everything we can to design the best products available.

If you experience any issues whatsoever, please contact us and we will get you taken care of: 314-205-3033

Thanks,
Nick C.

Hey guys, i had this same issue with one of my DD switchbacks. The passenger side would constantly flicker and not act as they should. It wasn't pin contact related for me, i noticed that the switchbacks weren't being held in the socket very well (could shake loose) and these were the "modified" ones that DD sent out after originally having fitment issues with the 2015 mustang. Trust me i pressed them into the socket has hard as i could without breaking anything. So all i did was remove additional material from the mold with my dremel. After two months, no issues. The switchbacks just need to have some additional material removed so they can seat all the way into the socket. Not a big deal and the little extra work is definitely worth having the switchbacks.

Every 7444 HP24 Switchback is test-fit in a 2015 Mustang socket before being sent out to ensure that it will fit perfectly

We are continually making updates and revisions to improve product quality as well

These problems are the biggest reason Ive not ordered them. Someone in our group also has reported an issue with theirs.

Well I'm sure those with problems will deny it but I have to believe with their new bulbs if people are having problems it's user related. The instructions clearly say before installing them, make sure the pins on the bulb are straight and aligned. I've had 2 sets now so I could switch to the 5000 color and both fit very snug and never had an issue with them. There are tons of people with them and there are a relative few complaining. Of course they will deny any fault of their own. I did hear there were fitment issues with the early base. I wonder if people that have had problems recently may have picked up a set of the older bulbs like maybe from a distributor that had them on a shelf? I've had a great experience with these and nothing but the absolute best customer support from Diode Dynamics. If you get them and there is an issue, call them or talk to Nick here.
