Hey guys, I have a 2017 GT PP with a 3" cat back exhaust, Airaid and tune. About to add 1 7/8 headers and cats, 18 manifold and looking to extract as much as I can out of it without going to E85.

Is it worth switching out the Airaid to the Injen? I figured I could sell my Airaid to recover some funds so the upgrade would be relatively minimal $ wise. If I gain 5rwhp across the powerband over the Airaid I'd be happy.

If switching intake is an option 18+ oem with high flow filter would be the way to go. Flows efficiently and keeps iats down.

I would personally move to a JLT intake and if you can swing it, a ported 18 manifold to help it breath a bit better as well. a ported 18 manifold will give you better bang for your buck than an intake swap would imo. If you have any questions, feel free too shoot me a pm anytime. lethalperformance.com

i swapped the stock intake for the injen. the only noticeable difference is the sound and it seems to rev easier. i also have a tune and run e85 and the combo is great imo.

I would do a 18+ manifold and keep the airaid intake you already have. If it's a funds issue I would revert back to your stock airbox and pick up a drop in air filter. The stock intake is not a bad design it's just the paper filters are very restrictive. Sounds like keeping my Airaid would be the wise choice. Probably flows the same as an 18+ CAI.

I'm actually very keen on the PMAS but with their fender intake extension that isn't out yet. Has to be a closed style airbox, especially with the Aussie heat over here.

The CAI debate continues haha. If only one of the big players could line up an 18+ intake with the rest of the CAI players for a true test.
