Hey everyone! Just picked up my 2015 PP GT recently.

One thing is bothering me more than I thought it would - the car has a set of OEM 2016 wheels (these - gr3j1007ab) all around wrapped in Hankook Ventus Noble2 255/40R19's instead of the OEM PP wheels.

What's bugging me is it feels like a major downgrade from the original wheels. I like the looks but I feel like I'm missing out on having the wider rear tires and larger offset.

- If I picked up an OEM set of PP wheels, would it make a huge difference? On the street? On the track?
- The wheels I have are in decent shape and tread on the tires is good. How difficult would these wheels be to sell?

The car won't see many miles as it's mostly a fair weather / fun / weekend car. I do plan on giving autocross a try this summer. Am I obsessing over nothing?

if youre asking for the difference between a 255 and a 275, there isnt much performance gain. A stickier tire would be more noticeable. If you want wider wheels id just go aftermarket for at least a 10inch rear

I am not sure what your mean by larger offset but rear PP wheel is 9.5" and 52.5mm offset, ones you have is most likely 45mm offset - so the PP wheel sits deeper not farther out but would have had a wider rim and tire.

Performance wise - you'd get benefit from better, summer only tire and some benefit from them being wider in the back, however you will not be able to rotate them.

Autocross is a whole different set of issues - you need OEM widths (in this case - PP) to stay in street class and you likely want better tires than these Hankooks to be anywhere close to competitive.

On the plus side those wheels look a lot easier to clean.

pp wheels are ok i did spacers on mine to make them flush even stock offset is kinda sucked in....

my old 16 had sve drifts with a 35 offset 19x9.5 all around with 275/35 tires and it was perfect i could have even did 285/35.. but i traded it for a lfp pp 17

i was also lowered on cjpp springs..

my 17 is min drop springs with stock pp rims 23mm spacers front and 20mm rear stock tire size front and a 285/40 rear and it sits pretty nice ..id post pics but i cant get them small enough to post

Thanks for the responses so far! I'll keep my eye out for PP wheels, but maybe wait a bit to use up these tires first.
