The DCT is a very unique transmission since it slowly engages off the line like a manual clutch does. And the same for putting her in reverse she slowly engages and you get some jerking in her in lower gears if your putting around in the shopping center. It’s either you love it or nah not so much and since their is no torque converter in her you get more of a direct feel which I think irritates some as well.

The A10 is nice. Absolutely nice. My 18 5.0 GT had one. Loved it and thought is was the bees knees. The DCT is so far beyond the A10 like others have said. The A10 cannot carry the DCT's jock strap. Not even close when comparing the two and that is not a knock on the A10. The DCT is just in a completely different league.
Having not driven a GT500 or a Porsche with a PDK...can you elaborate on what makes the DCT superior? I'm not saying it's not, but genuinely curious. Now that said, the A10 in my '21 ZL1 is vastly superior to the A10 in my 2018 GT 5.0. That A10 in the GT was clunky in and out of gear, clunky on downshifts coming to a stop, slow to respond w/ the paddles in manual mode under light throttle (and sometimes didn't going from 1st to 2nd if the speed was too low), briefly kept accelerating when the car was cold in 1st gear under light throttle even after lifting off the throttle, and the programming and operation overall felt primitive in comparison to the ZL1 A10.

The speed of the DCT. Absolutely zero delay between shifts is amazing. Zero lag. Instant shifts. It is also smooth, smooth, smooth between shifts up or down. My A10 did not suffer from what you describe. I know the A10 is suppose to learn your driving habits but I don't know enough about that to comment on it.
