I need to be able to have the wind in what little hair I have left! I have had, at bare minimum, something with a sunroof since around 1975. I even put sunroof in two that didn't come with one. At one time I had a Harley, a boat and a convertible at the same time. Boats got to be too much trouble and I'm not really comfortable anymore on a two wheeler. So I'm down to just the convertible Mustang.I’m not sure that an open sunroof would look all that great on an S550. And as someone else mentioned, it’s something else that can/will break. The motor will eventually wear out, the seals will eventually wear down, etc. I’ve had several cars with sunroofs over the years, I don’t miss having one.
You do have to be resigned to the fact that at some point you will get wet. And you have to be prepared for a bit of extra maintenance. Knock wood the Mustang has been very dry and quiet for a convertible.
