Hello,

I am looking for suggestions/help to know if i can run a new setup before i make the purchase

I am currently running 265/35ZR20 on all four w/ lowering springs Front - 1.5” Rear - 1.3” and spaces that are 5x114.3 20mm.

I'd like to run 20x10 and 305/35R20 in the rear and 20x8.5 w/ 255/35R20 in the front.

I was wondering if i would have any other issues running this setup. The tires are NITTO NT555 G2 Ultras that are gonna replace the old tires.

What wheel offset? 305/35R20 is a bit tall. 255/305 stagger is a recipe for understeer, that more than double the amount of stagger run by the PP1, and 5x the stagger run by the GT350.

I am not really sure what the off set is on the setup, i am the second owner.

The new setup that i'd like to do was just the most common recommended one on american muscle. I would like to take any other recommendations.

If you want a good daily rotateable setup, 20x10 ET35-40 square with a 275 or 285 tire. Alternatively a 20x9.5” wheel with a 275 tire.

if you want a staggered setup with a wide rear, a 20x10 (ET35) front and 20x11 ET50-52 rear with like 275/285 front and 295/305 rear tire.

You just need to look at what GMB racing posted and learn a little about different offsets, and backspacing, in relation to different tire sizes, width x height, and aspect ratio. It's pretty cool testing out all diff. kinds of tires on that site!

That 20x8.5 wheel in the front drastically limits what size tires you can run......that width is the only reason I keep see AM recommending the 255 but I can't imagine they would recommend a rear 305/35 to match up with it. If you are looking for an upgrade, do yourself a favor and leave that 20x8.5 wheel out of the equation.

I'd suggest sitting down and doing some reading on tire and wheel diameters and and offsets and how they affect what size tires you can expect to run with no problems. Take a look at the "Aggressive Wheels and Tires" thread and get some ideas of what would work to get you where you want to be.

Your current set-up has a 265 on the front, do you really want to go narrower than that? You do know that the current 2019/2020 stock GT Premium with 18" wheels come with a 255 tire all around...so think about it, you are wanting to go to the stock width but taller tire for the front.

What car did those wheels you say you are the second owner of, come off of?

If you haven't bought the wheels yet, you don't have the offset. But offset is something you need to look at when buying.

American Muscle seems to think putting a decent size wheel/tire up front makes the car explode. A quick look at the stock GT350 & PP2 wheel fitments will show how little they know.

The best, easily available setups are 10" square (+35 to 40 offset), 10" front/11" rear, or 11" square (more work, adjusted offset of ~+25 to 30 front, +50 to 55 rear).

I wouldn't put 8.5" wheels on my Focus ST, much less the heavier, more powerful Mustang GT.

I believe the current setup on the car is stock wheels and tires. I am just so new to this so i really appreciate all the help. It's crazy to think that some online stores recommend these setups and swear by them, but then you go to the real car enthusiast and when you explain what you recommended, they sit there and scratch their heads in question, so thank you because i was about to pull the trigger but you guys defiantly convinced me not to go into this blind and do some research
