So I have just had the best news a working man could ask for, a 5% pay rise effective immediately! :headbang:

Of course, the very first thing that came to my mind was "oh, I wonder what little extras I can put on the new Mustang when it arrives in April"

I was just about able to afford the Mustang as is on my previous wage, but this increase means I can now afford a few little tweaks to make it more personal (it also helps with the fuel costs - because V8 and $6.50 a gallon :D )

I'm just looking at cosmetic enhancements right now. This is the first high performance rear wheel drive car I've ever owned (not the first I've driven, however), and I'd rather keep the performance mods off for fear of ending up on upside down on the roof.

This is the car I'm getting:

UK Spec Right Hand Drive (Premium + Performance Packs as standard) in black with a black interior.

Any suggestions for little cosmetic tweaks?

I was thinking a blade spoiler like this, maybe in Matte black to go with the metallic black bodywork.

I was also looking at some BOSS style side stripes. Though, it wouldn't say "BOSS" of course, why pretend I have something I don't? It'd just say "302", the V8's displacement in Cubic Inches.

Boss-302-S550-Mustang.webp

Not sure what colour, however. Not a fan of red, and yellow on black may be a bit garish. Maybe a burnt orange to go with my natural red hair? :headbonk:

Give me your suggestions, guys. Maybe even pictures of your own little tweaks :D

The engine is technically a 302 not a 305. It's really 4.9L not 5.0 (shhhh)

In this order :)

1 - Lowering springs
2 - Exhaust
3 - 20" wheels
I didn't choose the low life. The low life chose me!

I'll have to see how low the stock car is in person. My hatchback is already close to scraping the end of the driveway at its stock height, and some of the speed bumps in Sunderland/Newcastle/Gateshead may as well be labelled as mountain passes.

Well I'll be damned. :ninja:

4.96 is 5.0 no matter how you stretch it.

Fox 5.0s were 4.94 or something along that and those were 4.9s

Yeah I just converted 302cu in to CC, 4,948cc is splitting hairs at this point.

So I guess the stripes will say 302, then, rather than 305. :p

I'm much the same. My mods will be largely cosmetic.

Windows tinted as far as possible front sides, with matching rears (don't like full blackout). Tints for whatever lights I can legally do. Black Ponies and 5.0's. Black wheel nuts (saw this somewhere). Black tips for exhaust if poss.

I may lower it though again purely for cosmetic reasons.

Maybe some black stripes. Will see how it goes when the car arrives.

Can you see a theme here? :)

You have in mind that premium package comes with bright-silver rims and chrome window frames? I don't think the complete black look will work with PP and the white rearlights

Custom Pack comes with nickel wheels and chrome trim, in the UK at least.

False do the math and it comes out to 4.94889 which technically rounds to 4.9 not 5.0. That being said I love this engine, 5.0 sounds much better and so glad I have a V8.

I'm sensing a candy pink theme here. Correct me if I'm wroooong!
/S

Its the premium interior with the performance exterior. :)

Actually it rounds to 5.0 as each decimal point would round upwards when reduced to a single place.

4.94889
4.9489
4.949
4.95
5.0

Please tell me you are joking with your rounding scheme...
I assume you are but recently I have seen some pretty stupid stuff on these forums.

From the Ford Spec page on the Coyote:
302 cu. in/ 4,951 cc So it's a 4.951. I wonder if I could get the badge made for the mustang??
