Hey stang fans :)

Let me tell you , i am pretty newbie to any mods and iam still awaiting my stang from US (but already got spoiler since we are missing them in EU version ...)

And i wanted ask some more experienced what you think about the strut tower brace that is also missing in EU stang.

Is there any REAL effect in driving, handling etc. i our EU models or is it just "visual" mod or maybe good for US non PP models?
Iam looking after the strut brace from steeda.uk since its in EU so shipping is much easier and it also looks pretty good made... but again, is it worth it?
I searched forums, found some answers "yes" and some "not so much"... but everything was about US stangs. ...so anyone has it and can compare difference before and after? (and i mean for daily driving, not racing ...).

...and when iam asking this, is there some driving / engine mod that you actually think it is really big help / positive / improvement for the car?

Thanx for tips and have a nice day!! :)

IMO if it's only used for daily driving or the occasional twisty road save your money.

For me, its more that its something that 'should' be there, and was only removed due to stupid EU rules.

I think the engine bay looks incomplete without it. Ford designed the chassis upgrades for the PP to work in harmony, and the strut brace is missing in the EU.

I had to make it whole again :)

Hi, Like you I was disappointed that we didnt get the strut brace, among other things.
I found a OEM take off from the US and put that on my car,
I did it for the looks and havnt really pushed the car to see if it made a difference to the handling. only done 1800km.
for RHD i had to modify the back right hand side to clear the K brace.

finishes off the engine bay i think.
PS i did the paint job on the covers.

engine bay after.webp

Well, even if it has no huge impact on driving, it still add much more cool look for the engine bay, thats out of question... so it still stay on my "future mods" list i guess :)

On this place i have to say I love your painted engines...its looks so cool!
Do you think even newbie can try it himself or is it better to leave it on some professional? Its not question of money here, but i would love to do most thinks on my "dreamcar" myself just for the feeling... :)

Same as MaxQ for me, it was more for the look as for an improvement of the driving.

It definitely adds a better look under the hood

I have done the engine cover and coil covers myself and have to say, NEVER and NEVER again !! :headbonk:

Engine cover is easy, but coil covers is so hard to make, I spent around 2-3 days to make them. The hardest point are the letters, you need to cover them with paint tape, cut the letters out, then paint them. If you use bad tape, everything will go under it and you have to repaint the entire cover ... :frusty:

Will do, it's also on my wishlist. I will buy the mishimoto cooler tank and will make it white, with red letters
