Strange knock/thump...any ideas???

Hi everyone, new to the forum here, I have a 2018 Mustang GT and have noticed a strange knock/thumping off beat type noise while in and out of the car. I’m curious if anyone else has heard this on their 5.0 or if it’s something I should be concerned with. I can’t tell if it’s something inside the engine or if it’s some kind of noise the exhaust is giving off as it has the roush axle back with an x-pipe resonator delete also. It sounds kinda like a drum being hit in an off rhythm beat. Any input would be very appreciated!!!

Hello , did you ever figure out what the thumping noise was ? My 2022 has the same issue and they cannot find anything wrong but I can feel something thumping underneath my car and of course it didn’t do it when I took it to the dealership.

No I actually ended up trading for a new 19 and ran ceratec after first oil change once break-in was complete, no noises with the 19, no ticking or strange thumping noises. However, I think Cobra Jet is right it’s probably fuel pump priming as the 18 I traded is still driving fine this money this day according to new owner.
