This is kind of a strange thing that may be nothing. I have a 2018 GT with low miles (15k) due to Covid and changes in my work schedule. Lately I notice that not long after I start it and begin driving, after a minute or two there is a pretty loud "knock" or "tap" sound (just one time) from somewhere in back, like someone just knocked or tapped on some part of the body back there. It doesn't seem to correlate with bumps in the road, it can happen when I'm rolling or even when stopped.
I feel like I've read a few other posts with something similar, but I don't know what the cause was (if any cause was discovered). For some reason I'm thinking it might have something to do with the EVAP system for controlling fuel vapors but I don't know where that thought comes from. Anyone experience this mystery knock?
