Post the links.Yes. Two independent guys tested them back to back and there was about a 7-10 whp peak difference, but a 25-30 whp midrange difference.
Stock airbox only starts being a bottleneck above 6500 rpm, and not much of one at that.

I'm preparing to install the Velossa Tech Design Big Mouth Ram air kit to my car. Seems like a great idea in conjunction with the flat panel high flow filter.
Yep, I did [roughly] the same:id stick with the stock box, mishimoto/airaid elbow, Velossa Tech Big mouth and a green panel filter.
There's one right above my post here. I'll find the other. It was from ALUSAPost the links.
I saw zero airflow gains with the Airaid tube. On back to to back runs the same day.
Its weird that some people see zero gains, while others show 10+ peak and 20-30 wheel HP in the midrange. The numbers you are claiming are nearly double what MotoIQ saw with the PP1 (tune and filter)..![]()

I came to the same conclusion (though I tore mine out with reckless abandon ...) :cheers:I came to the conclusion that there was no downside to removing it, and a chance of an added benefit. It looks to me like it is just taking up space. Since I'm going for a positive pressure increase with the ram air and a sealed box it made sense to me.
