The brz if it really has the stated 290 whp should win. The power to weight ratio sure would favor the brz.How many people have actually ran into this match up for the quarter mile? I would imagine they would keep up, if not win due to being a lot lighter.
A boosted BRZ is not something your going to likely run into often. I used to own a SRT-4 that put down close to 400whp. It could run with the big boys no problem. But a BRZ is weak even when compared to the old SRT-4s. Im going out on a limb and saying it’s going to take a lot of boost. To make a 15 second car (BRZ) run with a high 11-low 12 second 18 up mustang. How many people have actually ran into this match up for the quarter mile? I’ll take that bet.I thought the headers and tune normalized the torque dip? Saw it on Daily Driver. Also, can we please just wait and see what Nissan throws in the 400z? I'm telling you, it's gonna be 400hp crank and retire the Coyote Engine.
But, the Ecoboost has endless TORQUE!!!Ok...I'll bite. 400 horsepower. Two hundred and...fifteen foot pounds
Pretty damn safe bet. Give him a fighting chance and use an ecoboost
An engine swap should take care of the torque dip
290 HP sure, but probably around 200 ft-lbs of torque. Plus, you can't mod out the torque dip, no matter how hard you try. It has about as much chance in a drag as a 400Z
The Supra 3.0 is "382" crank horsepower and can run in the 10's with bolt ons, but I don't notice my Coyote being retired yet? Nobody is going to care about the 400Z, just like nobody cared about the 370Z after like 2 model years.I thought the headers and tune normalized the torque dip? Saw it on Daily Driver. Especially if its 10-15k more than the 370zThe Supra 3.0 is "382" crank horsepower and can run in the 10's with bolt ons, but I don't notice my Coyote being retired yet? Nobody is going to care about the 400Z, just like nobody cared about the 370Z after like 2 model years.
