Hello guys,

Might be a stupid question but i cannot find any videos or installation images showing the proper way that the progressive springs should be installed; and the Steeda Instructions seem too vague. What i need to know is which direction should both the front and rear springs need to be facing to be properly installed.

The front Springs have an open pig tail on one end with a more significant gap between the loops.

The rear spring have more loop closer together than the other end.

Now i cannot base my self on the original springs on the car, because the steeda progressive springs look way different than the linear stock springs.

If anyone has recently installed them and can help me out in finding the proper direction for the springs i would truly appreciate it

well since they coil their springs odd, for the fatter front springs take off the upper strut mount and it will only fit into one side using little effort it wont fit on the opposing side, thats an easy way to figure the fronts out, the rears also take the upper rubber cup and see where it sits better, i usually install springs with the logo and part numbers oriented right side up and not upside down FYI. good luck if you have any issues PM direct il try to help you out tonight. I recently installed them on Friday and have installed two dozen springs on this car.

Note on the front struts the upper strut mounts will be offset slightly because of the oddball way they decided to wind their springs. dont let that confuse you as it has confused many. just compress and properly assembly the struts

Front springs larger diameter towards the top or upper strut mount.
Rear the tighter wound coils face up or the top

Any more questions you can pm me

Thanks Steeda Tech

This! Also would you guys consider updating your instructions to mention the correct orientation. It may eliminate customers asking you guys these kinds of questions

I would like to thank everyone for their help, just installed the springs last night and let me tell you. Car looks great and handles the curves better than before. Now working on getting it aligned correctly. Went to a shop today and I am not happy with the results. Will try another shop

I dont think u can get the fronts wrong, the strut top rubber will only fit one side the spring, trust me i tried the other way and it dont fit.On the rears if u have the spring on upside down the spring wont fit in the perch because the way it angles,so i dont think u could put them in wrong unless u really really tried to force them.

Give them a week or two to settle before that final alignment.
