can any make a statement as to how the stiffness and rebound of the S550 Ultra Lites compare with the S197 Ultra Lites? Curious...I may buy a GT350R but if I don't I may go all the way with a basic S550.
I would assume things will be a bit different due to the IRS at least in the rear since those rates are in the 750-825lb range.

David@Steeda would be best to contact to get the real answer:D

How's the ride on those springs? I think someone on here sold them and got progressives because he thought they were harsh.
Ride quality is not harsh, but if your not going to be tracking the car at all then your better off with the progressive springs imo. Especially if your only going to daily drive it. I have my first track weekend in Sept 5 and 6 so will see how it goes.

Do you see any rubbing issues in the rear? I know you mentioned the front might rub the fender liner and possible the fender cage??...but I am more concerned about the back on mine since I will be running same setup as Todd but lowered on Eibach sportlines..and eventually/soon bagged.

Tomorrow is going to really tell the tale. After my alignment and when I can actually stretch it's legs some on the back roads on the way home I'll see how it works out. I'll post all my alignment info. Ideally I would like -1. to -1.5 max in the front and -2 to -2.5 in the rear. I don't want to go beyond that unless it's absolutely necessary.

I think -2 will be fine out back. A Ford tech in our local Atlanta S550 club did an alignment today with a car that was lowered, running 315's and he had it set to -2 with no rubbing out back. I think he said toe was .25? I might have to confirm that part.

How are they adjusting camber in the back? Are the plates completely needed for the front? Mine is aligned now with less than -1.5 all around, just curious how they are making the adjustments without camber plates/bolts.

Those camber bolts out back is what they are using. Let me dig up a picture I posted a while back.

I think CC plates are only needed on the front is you have some serious drop.

So the rear is adjustable from the factory. They had a hell of a time getting mine to move this morning though. My fronts with the camber plates was super easy for them. I might look at other options to help adjustment in the rear. Here is how everything panned out on my car.

I did rub just slightly on a giant bump on the interstate in the rear fwiw. I barely heard the scrape as it hit. So far I haven't heard any noise from the front... yet. But I haven't dove into any corners yet either.

Your rear camber is way off. It doesn't look like they even touched it. Expect some wheel hop and traction issues (under straight line acceleration) with the current settings and maybe even some accelerated inner tire wear.

They spent 2.5 hours on the car and I watched the whole time, they spent the majority of the time trying to get the rear situated. They had it pulled in to around -2.5 which was what I wanted and when they put the toe to the correct specs, it pulled the camber in more.

Very interesting on the alignment specs. Now I am very curious how mine will end up. Only difference is that I have more Steeda suspension components within the IRS area.

I will be disappointed if I have to run more than 2 degrees of camber out back. Only time will tell.

Yeah I think I'm going to look into picking up some more stuff sooner rather than later. I was hoping to get it closer to -2 than this but I was watching them struggle with the rear and trying to get it within spec. The Service Manager was like man, there's just nothing to really get a hold of back there to help move it. My car has only been driven about 1200 miles in the past 6 months so I'm not really that concerned and I'm not doing drag racing to worry about getting wheel hop off the line. I asked him if I got some more parts if they would still touch it since it is a Ford dealership and he was super nice, and said to give him a call when I get more stuff on and we'll get it back on the rack.

They were using a brand new Hunter hawkeye rack so it's not like it was some crappy alignment shop and rack.

Cool. I'll keep you posted on my specs when I get it done. We have a Master Ford Techin our S550 club who will do,the alignment. He has done a ton of lowered '15's with wide rubber out back.
