Hey all,

Just wanted to take a moment tonight and get everyone's thoughts on the Steeda tune on the SCT x4. I've had some challenges after the initial reprogramming tonight (car dying several times, check engine light persisting, jumpy shifts, etc.), so I've reset to the factory default and dropped Matt at Steeda a line. Steeda's always done well by me in the past - just wanted to check with you guys to get your impressions. (I have the Steeda CAI, too, which I love) Thanks!

No worries. I emailed them and they're looking into it. It was running too rich with surging and stalling till it kicked a code. I doubt it's more than a quick fix

I was very happy with the Steeda tune on my Focus ST and after about 1000 miles on my EB with their tune I am just as happy.

I wonder who is doing the tuning over at Steeda now, use to be Gus but I believe he is no longer with the company. Anyway, good luck getting it sorted out.

Hey I spoke with our tuning team and they called you yesterday early afternoon. Please pm me a good time to connect, also check your tune file - if it says 'CAI' then you should run the CAI without the restrictor paired with our tune.

It did say cai on it so I pulled the restrictor and tuned it. Much better results. Pulled through the power band much smoother and felt like more torque down low.

That was the issue for sure.

Hi All -

Quick update. This issue was entirely on my end; I should have removed (or not installed) the restrictor when installing the CAI. Once I removed the restrictor and reinstalled the Steeda tune, she runs like a dream. Shifts are much smoother, power is much more consistent - loving this product!
