Hey guys, I have a 2017 GT, manual, non pp car. I will be installing my Steeda Progressive springs and the stop the hop starter kit here shortly. I plan to use the car for street and an occasional road course. Any other suspension work you guys wish you did that you didn’t? Or anything that goes well/is recommended for a similar build? I currently just have a cai, cat back exhaust, and tune but will be going with an 18 mani w/lockouts and catless lth later in the year. Appreciate your time!

Thanks!

I forget how Steeda packages their kits, but if the starter kit doesn't have the IRS brace you are definitely gonna also want that! Beefier vertical links, adjustable toe links and the differential bushing kit are also highly recommended if you are totally serious about stopping hop and leaving the line a lot quicker. Throw in a set of control arms for the front steering and you'll have a totally different feeling car after you are done. You can't go wrong with Steeda!

Swaybars, all of the Performance Pack bracing, and Steeda’s roll center correction/bumpsteer kit — get these and you’ll be on-point.

I'm reading that you're planning on that Steeda kit solely for its subframe location purpose and that hard launching and banging shifts aren't going to be part of the plan. Further dragstrip-oriented mods such as vertical links and differential bushings aren't likely to help with the corner-carving and would add NVH for no benefit in your driving.

I'm aware of Steeda's sale, but they aren't the only corner-carving game in town. Perhaps BmacIL will chime in . . .

The Stop hop starter kit is a great start to keep the rear sub-frame on center and to control IRS movement. The Kit includes our IRS sub-frame brace,Alignment dowels and IRS support bushings.
Great start to having a great foundation! Picture below of our #20 car with the same components being prepped for the next endurance race which we are leading in points!

Brian,
I have a 2019 GT non-PP, with the 20" tires so it came with an Extreme G-Trak K-Member brace, it also included the cowl bracing.
After driving for two weeks (once the initial excitement of my first Mustang wore off) I was surprised how "floaty" the front was and "shifty" the rear was.
I added the Steeda Strut Tower Brace and the Stop-the-Hop starter kit. Now the handling is firmer and I think balanced.
I enjoy going fast on freeway entrance and exit ramps, because of the more predictable balanced handling and I have confidence in that balance.

Also, I have read on the forums here that many experienced people (unlike me) recommend going step by step with upgrades like this.
