It's a perfect pairing! I've had the Steeda Progressive springs on the car for about a year now. While they aren't that bad with the stock PP dampers, I thought they were just a bit bouncy. I don't mean bumpy like harsh ride, just the opposite, I think they were a bit too soft making the ride all spring. I bought the Konis from Steeda and glad I did. I had questions that as usual, Steeda did a great job of answering. I talked to one of their suspension experts.

I got one of the first sets of Konis and put them on right away. I love them with the Steeda Progressive springs. The adjustment of the Konis gives you whatever you want over the 2.5 full turns of adjustment. I started out with them near full firm, while that was fun for cornering, after a couple days I decided to soften it up, it was a bit too firm (bumpy). So I could experience the range, I loosened them up to full soft. They were as soft as the PP dampers but a bit better at absorbing the compressions and rebounds. After a few days with that, I adjusted them to 1 full turn from soft toward firm and have been VERY happy with the ride.

I'm not surprised at all. Yellows work quite nicely with the rates of most aftermarket springs.

Don't be afraid to try different settings in the rear from the front, either, as there may be a combination that you like even better.

Thanks Norm! Any recommendations on how to determine best front/back? What to look/feel for so I know when to change? So far I'm just going by general feel but have no idea how to tell the difference between front and back so I keep them together.

I've only had the Koni Orange STR.T (street) before. These yellows are definitely a step up!

For the ride quality side it's mostly a matter of "feel" - if one end of the car feels like it's riding more harshly than the other, dial that end back a bit. You should be able to feel the difference a quarter turn or less makes.

For the performance side, I'd follow the "Rebound" notes in the following link. At autocross, you might well do better with a little "too much" rear rebound (to help get the rear of the car to rotate), while for street and big track driving you're probably better off with either "not quite enough" rear rebound or a little too much front rebound so that the car won't be quite as eager to threaten a spin. I typically run about a quarter turn more up front than out back, though this could differ going from a decently controlled stick axle to IRS. As a side note that'll mean more once you start reading the link, I'm not a point and shoot/stomp&steer Dukes of Hazzard kind of driver, not even in the Mustang.

Can someone chime in on my car modding ignorance?... I plan on getting these springs and possibly front and rear sways later on. After install of just the springs, will I need an alignment?

Installed Steeda progressive sport springs, bushings & alignment tool along with ford racing jounce bumpers, I went with a conservative drop on my ecoboost of 1.25" in front and 1" in the back. Rides and handles like a dream.

Can't wait!
I just ordered my Steeda Progressive Springs yesterday. Just waiting on them to ship out. I was very pleased with them on my EB. Looking forward to having them on this car.:thumbsup:

Picked up my car from the shop. I had the Steeda Progressive springs and sway bars installed this week along with the Steeda "Stop the Hop" package minus the sub frame braces as they were back ordered and didn't arrive in time. Also installed the Tri Ax short throw. They also had it aligned.

I'm still on factory PP wheels and the stance is so much better. The ride quality is incredible without any added harshness. I'm sure the subframe braces will firm it up a little more but it feels so much more planted and the break dive is greatly diminished. The car no longer feels floaty and the body roll is also vastly improved!

I have the front sway bar set 1 notch below the firmest setting and the rear is set in the center.

It feels like a different car! I do notice slightly more noise in the cabin but I expected that with all of the mods.
