Before you pull anything apart, check all of the nuts at the top of the struts/strut towers, especially the big ones on the struts themselves.

This! Years ago I did a strut swap on my minivan and had the same issue. Firestone (took it there for alignment after the work) wanted to charge me to pull the strut out and put it on their compressor and tighten the nut. I called bull shit and bought the special wrench and socket to do it on the car. Took me all of 30 seconds. And they were going to nail me for over $125 in labor. Firestone lost a customer for life at that point. I wouldn't even let them put air in my tires if I had a flat on the side of the road.
EDIT: Not enough clearance to get an impact gun in there. Just hit yours with an impact and you should be good to go.

Definitely check this, I had a strut bolt come loose a few months after buying my car. Took it to the dealership and they fixed her right up!

Thanks guys. We already tried hitting it with an impact followed by checking with a torque wrench. Also re-checked the end links with a torque wrench and the 3 up top for the plate.

What's the verdict? I've got some clunking as well and am curious if what you did resolved the issue.

I have some clunking in the front too. Had the installer double-check everything and he said everything was in right and tightened.

Maybe someone from Steeda should chime in.

Haven't gotten around to taking them off yet. Are the people experiencing clunking non PP cars? We double checked everything during the install and have since made sure everything is torqued correctly.

It is pretty frustrating for sure.

Edit: I see yours is a PP tribe.

I have this on my front driver side too. Not horrible but more when I hit pot holes than bumps. I've kind of accepted it that it's just more noise of aftermarket springs. But I'd like to hear what Steeda says

Quite often and for sure noticeable. Larger bumps/big dips mainly.

The friend that helped me with the install is a member here and has done the install 4 times now I believe. With that said we will still check it but have seen more than just a few report this.

I have Steeda progressive springs and no noise at all. I would assume something is wrong with the install. I installed my own and I can see where someone could screw up with lining up the rubber isolator.
