About to order the pro action non adjustables. I already have Eibach Pro-Kits and am using the bumpstops supplied with the springs. Is it necessary and worth the extra $60 to get the Steeda bumpstops along with the new shocks/struts?

Also, are the billet shock mounts worth it for street use only?

The Steeda billet shock mounts are great fo Street and track use, is it necessary no. It helps improve rear shock or damper control therefore improves handling.

Yes, it will improve the ride quality, run the short stack this is from experience working with other customers.

I followed the instructions proveded with the same shocks. I cut the factory bump stops down about 1” per the instructions and used them.

Pro kit actually uses the bumps stops in order to achieve the rate on the springs.

Makes sense...I'll stick with the bumpstops that came with the pro-kits then.

My pro-actions and billet shock mounts will be here Thursday! Can't wait! :headbang:

Every time I've put Steeda bump stops on, short stack, the owner liked the change. I've done three rear shocks with just changing the bump stops. The front struts I don't really worry about, personally. None of these cars had Pro-Kit springs. Only been in a couple too tree cars with Pro-Kits and I was surprised how stiff the ride felt - no idea why given the rates.

Do you think using the Steeda over the Pro-Kit bump stops will make a noticeable difference? Like Niz said, I don't see a point in getting them given the fact that Eibach supplied their bump stops for their spring rates.

I know it isn't the ProKit, but Steeda's were much better than the ones Eibach supplied with the Sportlines.

If you have a noticeable bounce then trim them one inch in the rear which is very easy to do.

At static or curb ride height they actually will rest on the bump stop.

All the best,

Steeda Bumpstop Kit Installation Instructions Error

The Installation instructions for the Bumpstops on the American Muscle website still have the error regarding the 555-8212 Steeda Progressive springs not being included in Lowered Ride Height Vehicles.
