I heard that the Roush were more aggressive than the Steeda. They practically look the same...any input let me know. Thanks..

A lot of it depends on the mid section....h-pipe, x-pipe. I think the Roush is just slightly louder with x-pipe/h-pipe vs the Steeda with x-pipe/h-pipe....but they are both loud in a good way.

I have the Borla Switchfire for an xpipe. The Steeda's arrived today, installing them tomorrow. Got my reciprocal saw out.

I think you are going to like what you hear; even thought I haven't heard the Borla Switch Pipe before. The manuals tend to gurgle more than the autos. :)

The Roush are super loud and throaty, really aggressive. Coupled with a X or H pipe and the only thing I can really compare it to are Corsa Extremes.

Just finieshed the install on the car. Tried using the old fashioned tail pipe cutter, had to ditch that and hit Harbor Freight they had a reciprocal saw on sale for $30.00, that did the trick. I have the Borla Swithfire with the Steedas and its loud!! I am a tad worried and I may install little bullet resonators in place to somewhat tone it down.

I'd say give it a couple of weeks. It really sounds loud when you are used to the stock system. Like everything, the body (ears) will adjust.

Well I had the Borla Switchfire on since new. This is more than just several notches above that. I like it and will give it some time. Great tone, very happy with the Steeda's.

I went to watch football yesterday and when I got there, my buddy said I heard you coming from a couple of blocks away and I wasn't getting on it. He said he could hear when I left the stop lights and every time I would let off the gas he could hear the gurgles.

On the inside of the car, I guess I never really pay that much attention to how loud it might sound outside. Lately I have been driving with the windows down while in town and yep, I can hear that it is loud. Too bad there are not any tunnels here lol

I just came back from the muffler shop as the clamps that Steeda gives with these axle backs are garbage. They leaked quite a bit so i just took it to a muffler shop and had them welded on.

As far as the sound I like it, with one caveat. They trumpet quite badly at WOT and above 4k rpm with the Borla Switchfire (I am sure a regular Xpipe would do the same). I am going to install some small resonators in front of the mufflers and hopefully it quiets down a tad. I don't want to kill the character of the mufflers as I like the sound coming out of them, they don't drone at all, none.

So TJ, if you are following this thread please include better clamps than the ones included. They suck...

One other thing...cutting the tailpipes with the old fashioned tail pipe cutter is a no bueno, I got like 2/3s of the way through but there were several spots of the tailpipe it didn't quite cut through enough. Maybe more patinece, I will say it was a workout. The stainless steel that Ford uses is quite tough and I ended up using a saws all.

I will try and post up a video, unfortunately I don't have a go-pro so it will be a cell phone.

Yep, I had mine welded on also. I think the H-pipe tones down the trumpeting a little.

I've personally run the Roush and loved it. It was pretty rowdy at start up and under load but surprisingly tame at temp and at fixed/cruise speed. The sound quality was refined despite it's rowdy nature.
