Took apart my 2015 GT manifold to test the runner controls and found they were bad. This was a week ago. Placed an order that day with steeda for the 2018 intake mani with plug n play and sctx4 tuner bc it’s my daily driver so I thought this was best. Just got the mani today and didn’t come with the PnP harness. Been waiting for a call back from steeda but no go.

Should I just lock it out and ask them to change the tune when my sctx4 arrives tomorrow? Or is that gonna mess with my mpg considering it’s my daily. I just want to get the dang thing installed.

I'd do whatever your tuner suggests/what they want to tune for. Most tuners prefer the lockouts though.
That said, I have a 2021 ported manifold with IMRC lockouts and it's tuned for that. I have not noticed any MPG decrease or drivability differences from the stock manifold with IMRC.

I locked out my IMRC when I did 2018 manifold swap. I don't feel any noticeable difference. The IMRC is only for emissions/fuel economy reasons. It creates a slightly better air tumble in the intake for part throttle/daily driving. WOT the IMRC is fully open anyways.
