RPI is selling these spoilers painted for around 225.00 more then retail. I'm going to go this rout since every body shop in my area wants a ridiculous amount to paint a spoiler.

Is it guaranteed to match?

that would be an impossible guarantee. only way to guarantee would be to paint match your specific gas cap or old spoiler or something they can take off the car. rpi will just spray their mix of the factory color. it will probably be 90%-99% match

my local body shop is going to paint and install it for 75 bucks plus tax.

I have given him somewhere in the neighborhood of 40,000 dollars in business(not sure how much profit he made off that) over the last 5 years though from myself and several family members/friends I've referred personally.

however, the part that might help you is the fact that he said the stock spoiler only calls for 1 paint hour. i told him this spoiler is a few inches bigger and he said that won't actually add much to the time at all. maybe another half hour at max but that a quote for 2.6 hours is outrageous. he said it will probably take between 1-2 hrs to install as they will paint where they drill to prevent rust and also seal the holes to make sure water does not get in the trunk.
Do you mind sharing the name of your local body shop? With your referral, what is the likelihood I could receive similar pricing (or even something in my expected ballpark of $250)? I'll be in Houston for Memorial week, but I don't know if I'll have the spoiler by then.

I ordered my CDC spoiler yesterday and have asked several body shops for quotes for paint and install. I've gotten two estimates back so far and I was shocked by the amount they are charging. I also requested an estimate from a privately owned body shop, but he hasn't gotten back with me yet.

National collision center chain:

I believe in paying a fair price for value received, but for god's sake the spoiler was only $330 retail. I was really thinking more in the $250 range for paint and install. Is that an unreasonable expectation? Any suggestions on where else to look?
thats cant be right 4.5 hrs to drill a couple of holes? people can pull the motor in less time than that

I do not believe they are CDC Spoilers, RPI has their own and it's similar in looks.

I just got off the phone with Alex from CDC and he said that they just received the boxes in today to ship out the rear Outlaw spoiler. He said that they "might" get a few out today, but more likely on Monday :(

Take plenty of pics so we can get a good idea at different angles. I'd like to see the whole profile, high mid low plus the rear as high def as reasonable for a forum. For me all of the body lines need to work together. From the pics I've seen, it looks like it will be nice, congrats!

Is there a PDF of the installation instructions floating around anywhere?

I'd like to see how involved it is. The instructions for the Roush spoiler require making 1" holes in the trunk lid with a hole saw. I'm not sure I'm ready for that level of commitment yet.

Same here. That's what has kept me from pulling the trigger on the Roush wing as well. Something about that hole saw slipping and the pilot bit creating an outward dent in the trunk panel just doesn't appeal to me.

Looking forward to seeing some full body shots with the CDC wing!
