This doesn’t sound like a starter issue, but combustion not occurring completely and causing the RPM to jump up and down, until it finally fires. I’d be looking at the fuel and ignition systems, starting with the fuel.

It sounds ike the engine is physically spinning over fine and with enough RPM.

But yes, there's something with the engine catching fire, the initial ignition, that's stumbling.

Are you the original owner?

Have there been any mods to the engine/drivetrain?

Any recent maintenance or maintenance-related issues past?

It's a bit of a stretch but...on the cold starts, when you first open the car door and get ready to start the car, do you hear the fuel pump and other bits toggle? Do you hear the fuel system charging, in anticipation of the start? Mine always does on cold starts, 100% of the time. Warm or hot starts (starting from recent run time), not so much.

Is the car on E85? Is this a recent issue?

Has it always done it on E85?
Yes it has.I recently flashed back to pump gas and my cold starts are fine now, so it looks like it’s a tune issue, I’ll reach out to my tuner about it,thanks for the help.

Thought that might be the case. These things needs TONS of cranking fuel on ethanol otherwise cold starts are garbage.

Your right about the cranking fuel.My tuner said he’s gonna add a bit more,This is what he said.

The car already has a ton of crank fuel added
so technically it should not be doing this
i'll add a bit more to see if it helps
