Start the engine from the remote Key Fob ?

Its a standard feature on my Discovery Sport, UK car, allows climate to work.... so cant be illegal to use in UK?? If you open the door the car shuts down...... You activate it from my iPhone app...

Well as i have a import with RS,
you can open the door, sit in the car, you just press the start button and the brake together then you just drive off as normal
it works with the climate control, the seats,

Theres a thread about this somewhere else in the forum.

Its possible, but you need:

-Some extra hardware
-Maybe a different PCM (or at least the ability to re-flash)
-New keys

The trick was in the re-flashing and programming. It was complicated.

I suggest some Googling might find the thread elsewhere here on M6G. It had all the info and the OP was successful.
