sr performance auto shifter not engaging park easily

ok so i have a 2018 automatic with the sr performance shifter. it was working fine rowing thru the gears but today on the way to work i hit some debris on the freeway bad enough to blow out the front passenger tire and knocked out some of the side skirt but was able to push into back in place. so now my shifter wont go into park easily i have to push on it further until the parking is actually engaged. what do you think happened ? when i hit th debris did it do something to the shifter? any ideas or suggestions would be welcome

firgued out the problemm apparently i hit the debirs so hard it knocked out one of the screws holding the shifter. and it was so small it was blocking the shifter engaging park without using alittle bit of force. i went ahead and reinstalled the stock auto shifter. sr shifter is for sale if anyone is interested
