Square setup using (4) 19x9 PP Wheels?

255/40/19 is 27" diameter.
275/40/19 is 27.7" diameter.

The middle number is the aspect ratio, aka 40% of the tread width(255 or 275 in millimeters).

Thanks for that info, yes when I first posted I didn't realize there was a difference in height, since they are both 40/19.
And earlier today I checked myself just to see how much difference and even with weight on the vehicle and close to same pressure in all tires I could easily spot over 5/8" difference in height using a tape measure.
Still trying to decide if 19x9 square is a good decision.

VIN666 - 2% towards safe side not so bad ....that would be easy to live with, unless there is a way for dealer to recalibrate.

I just called my dealer asking if there were any issues changing out to 19x9 square and they said it would VOID parts of my warranty, specifically the suspension part of the warranty and the noise and rattle part of the warranty.

Of course nothing will probably happen if I carried through on this but I don't want to take the chance and have to fight with Ford if an issue does develop, in which they pull the 'wheel change' card on me.

Something else they said which I was not aware of is that the 'noise and rattle' part of the warranty is only good for the 1st year or 12,000 miles whichever comes first. I might try to look that up to verify...but if anyone has noise and rattle issues take care of it sooner than later.

So if I believe what the dealer says I guess no one should buy any new wheels directly from Ford either, because it will void your suspension warranty since you changed your OE wheels!

Considering that the OE 20" wheels are a 20"x9" squared setup, I find it interesting that For would void your warranty for doing something they already do at the factory. But then again they do tend to fight anything they can to get out of warranty work. "Wait you didn't use Motorcraft oil on your last oil change? We are voiding your drive train warranty".

Yes, they leave a person with the feeling that they will fight any warranty claim with any excuse they can think of, even if not directly related.

There are 2 other dealers in my area. I'm going to call them too and see what they say, just to see if I get the same story.
I should mention that the person I talked to today worked in the service department. Maybe they were just spouting off non-sense.

So if i buy an eb with the 19" option and get a set of oem 17" as winter wheels i lose my warranty?

You can always get some new 19" wheels with better offsets abs use the factory tires like I have

Its amazing me today since I have now called 3 dealers and I got 3 different answers!

Dealer 1- Changing the rear 19x9.5 wheels to 19x9 will void the suspension part of your warranty

Dealer 2 - Changing the rears to 19x9 should have no affect on the vehicle and should not void any warranties

Dealer 3 - Not sure if changing the rears to 19x9 would have any ill affect, specifically concerned about ABS calculations since the rear tire may be a little higher. Said he could not know until a technician hooked in and checked to see if the electronics could be adjusted and/or research to see if this would be an issue. But he said their would be a minimum 1hr charge to investigate of $155! He didn't say anything about warranty voided however.

Ok so here we have the power of this forum. Rubedog and I live about 45 minutes apart. Paths would have never crossed to do a deal if it wasn't for Mustang6G.com. So we ended up trading wheels/tires. I traded him my rear 19x9.5 with tires for his front 19x9 wheels with tires.

I'm good because I now have a 19x9 square setup, didn't want to mess with spacers up front and can now rotate tires.

Rubedog is good because he now has a 19x9.5 square setup, can now rotate tires and doesn't mind using spacers (he had them on for the 19x9's anyway to push the front wheels out a little).

So the whole deal cost us $0 and we both got what we wanted.
