That one looks well constructed compared to some of the other ones I've seen out there. I assume this held up fine for replacing both fronts?
Most certainly. I am sure it would last for quite a few. Put it in a vice and clamp one of the arms down so the shock is oriented vertically, it will make it so much easier.

Thanks for posting this. I just completed the same grill last week and have been pondering how I will mount my gunmetal pony in the grill. I will be going your route.

What kind of mud flaps?

I used Loctite double sided tape to mount the framing L brackets.

Any L shape bracket will work. Originally i was going to epoxy some plastic mounting points inside the wheel well but I think the brackets worked pretty good. Crossing my fingers they hold up. If not I will add epoxy to them.
