spotify in mustang sync3

Hi there,

I bought a new Mustang ecoboost that is due to arrive at the end of October, and I have a question regarding Spotify on the Sync3-system of the car. Do the specifications of a song you play on Spotify appear on the screen (e.g. an image of the cover of the album you choose), or is it just the title of the song and the performer that show?

I don't believe that the ford/spotify app setup works anymore unfortunately, I believe it's just track info but no album art.

Carplay and Android Auto both work with spotify and show cover art and all song info though.

Thanks for your replies, I'm very curious how it will work out...
And Bikeman315, judging by the avatar picture of your car, I'll be driving exactly the same car as yours (white ecoboost, unfortunately the European version with less horse power ).

Spotify will only work through Android Auto or CarPlay. Looks like this:

You can always just use regular bluetooth if you didn't want to plug your phone in for CarPlay or Android Auto. You'll get artist/track info just like anything else you play over bluetooth.

Yeah, I stream Spotify over BT, and I can see all info on the screen. Just select the maximum file size in settings, and the sound quality is quite good. You also have a separate equalizer, to boost any lack of frequencies on your stereo.

Spotify can be streamed via the BT feature - been doing with my 2018 since new...

I don’t use the Ford apps or CarPlay crap.

Just activate BT on your mobile device, choose your mobile device music app and in SYNC 3 choose the BT button from the selectable music options. The connection will be made and you’ll have instant music.

You can stream any sound in this manner...
