Are you saying KITT is cheesy???Digital gauges are for cheesy '80's cars. No thank you.
I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee and I agree on both points. There are just two things I miss on my Mustang that were standard on my '14 Grand Cherokee. A very large center digital speedo option setting and a heated steering wheel. (Don't knock the steering wheel unless you've owned a car with it.)
I'm not a fan of digital gauges either. My 88 Buick Regal has this and annoyed me. Cool to see the car hit x speed but driving around with numbers constantly changing in the corner (bottom actually) of me eye...NO THANK YOU!Digital gauges are for cheesy '80's cars. No thank you.
6 analog gauges with one the speedometer. Another speedometer that is digital right next to the analog and in the same line of sight. I don't see the purpose unless this is like a 2nd grader not able to read an analog clock type issue...I agree a big disappointment is no Digital Speedometer.
All the data is there, need some software!
I am disappointed because we have all the other gauges, which will probably get little use - carryover from last year.
I love the digital speedometer in my 2014 GMC Sierra
Someone please help with a software solution !!
Right, but its an OPTION, you don't have to use it.6 analog gauges with one the speedometer. Another speedometer that is digital right next to the analog and in the same line of sight. I don't see the purpose unless this is like a 2nd grader not able to read an analog clock type issue...
It wasn't an option in the 80's or at least the cars I remembered...it was what the manufacturer offered. You didn't have the option to have a choice of speedometer (analog or digital) or to have BOTH in the 80's...the only option you had in the 80's and now (2015) is that you have the option to buy the car with what the manufacturer provided. No change.Right, but its an OPTION, you don't have to use it.
Why not give it to the people that want it?
I'd love to just quickly glance at a number on the center of my dash instead of looking at the gauge, but we don't have that option when cars in the 80s did? How does that make any sense?
When you red line the tach flashes redim sure someone can code it into the mix. I was also gonna ask around and see if anybody can code shift lights...in my other car, when I was needing to shift the blinker indicator would flash then remain steady....
if you have a premium and not a base. When you red line the tach flashes red
Because this is the 50th Anniversary Mustang and it's remeniscent of a gauge on a P-51 Mustang.Since this is a speedometer thread.....
Why in the world did Ford have to put "Ground Speed" on the face of the speedo?? IMO, it just seems tacky and clutters up the speedo face.
