IMSA has a few up and coming 20 year old drivers . I think Billy Johnson was 20 when he first started winning at the track.

The lap times are very good...even at unfamiliar tracks like Laguna Seca he is setting very fast lap times. The car control skills quite evident too..he is driving very close to the limit and can see the instantaneous corrections he is making when running too hot.. For this skill level, it is totally unsurprising he is cooking tires after one day in a GT500..he is driving it hard.

Har har... just pointing out that ppl are saying things that are just plain wrong..he is a very good driver...anyone who can't admit to that doesn't know what they're talking about.

Yes the guy's videos are annoying and long winded, but I have to say he is right about consumables when you're at that level of driving skill. $2k per track day in tires is terrible and for him who is chasing lap times and with a consistent tire, he needs a different car. For most people who are far less skilled (ie as is evident by the nonsensical critique of his driving), don't worry about what he's saying, your consumables won't be as bad and you won't have to get fuel after every session as you're not driving as hard. Don't confound his personality/annoying attributes with what he's saying as it is a consideration for those at higher skill levels. You don't have to be insecure about your purchase as your use case is completely different!

Ford isn’t in the 800 hp club yet just throwing that out. The GT500 is rated at 14 combined with a 16 gallon tank, the RedEye at 16 combined with an 18.5 gallon tank. I Dislike speed phenom as much as the next guy. Just making sure all the facts are presented.

Dunno, this trans feels like it barely has any drivetrain loss. I wouldn't be surprised if it was closer to 800 than 760.
