I recently installed a rear deck speaker and I’m holding off on the other one since I have a gap in the speaker. It’s mated fined to the bolts but the bracket for the speaker is smaller than the oem one which causes a gap all around in the metal. I was wondering if I should switch to a metra style adapter to get the speaker to sit taller and have no gap around it or if it won’t make a difference at all.

I would definitely add the Metra adapter to allow it to sit with no gaps.
