I picked mine up at my local Napa auto parts, rock auto was cheaper by $7 but they had them in stock & didn't want to wait a week to get them..Lol

Im assuming the fuel is as good as I can get. OAR easily adjusts down to -1. I'm out testing right now and have not been able to duplicate the problem. It was much warmer earlier today though....

Do you have good fuel in it? What's the oar at? I think maps tune is pretty aggressive, hopefully plugs fix it.

Well hopefully it was the plugs then, it'll be ruled out I guess when it's warm again.

I thought their tune was a bit more on the conservative side unless all of your bolt-ons were from MAP? I'd like to see a dyno comparison of the stock tune vs their custom tune for a stock car.

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and just bought my 1st Mustang so I'm a rookie when it comes to performance and modifications.

Just installed my Livernois tuner 2 days ago and read somewhere in the forum something about spark plugs need to be gapped after being tuned , does that sound right?

If so, I wasn't informed that needs to be done?

any information would be appreciated.

Here's a thread I started about colder plugs. It has info on what plugs can be used, what the benefits of colder plugs are, etc.

Are there torque specs available on the 2.3 for the spark plugs? Quick search and I couldn't find them. Thanks.

What is the factory gap requirement for the EB?
Will switching to NGK at .028 on a cat back only EB make any difference?

Stock gap is 0.0295. No, switching to a colder plug on a stock tune with a catback will not make a difference. Everyone hears about running a colder plug and thinks if they just put a 1 step colder plug in, their car will be faster. Trust that Ford did a lot of engineering to determine the best range for the plug to operate. Ford Performance even stuck with the stock plugs and gap for their performance tune for the ecoboost. Putting colder plugs in will just have them operating at too low a temp and they foul easy. With a pro tune, yes, they push the operating limits and benefit from a colder plug. Some of them also push more boost so reducing the gap helps prevent spark blow out. You wan to run the largest gap you can without getting spark blow out to ensure the complete and even burn of the fuel in the combustion chamber. I have the stock plugs gapped at .029 and they're working great! I pull them and inspect them every 5k miles during oil changes.

I believe Adam says to torque to 10lbs on his website.
Missed that detail on his site! It's been running fine with 18lbs, so hopefully it's fine.
