Thaaat is not what I like to do and what other members wrote. I mean - yes. The trunk could carry 2 wheels. We could also screw a spare tire on the trunk lit.:doh:

I've heard -- although I have absolutely not tried this and will not try it -- that an 18" wheel with a full-sized tire could fit in the wheel well if you deflate the tire enough. That doesn't seem safe to me.

Otherwise, yeah, it can fit a donut but not a full-sized wheel. I think people got confused because, unlike every other donut I've ever seen, this one is painted aluminum and not flat black steel.

I would like to see how it would clear the front calipers. We had enough problem to find 18" full size wheels to clear the front. Now I understand why they do not deliver one. It would only fit the rear axle. Thinking on longer trips makes the planing interesting. You have to check what tire shops are on your route and save them on your phone.:shrug:

If it really doesn't fit the fronts on an EB PP and you blow a front tire, you do have the ability to put a good rear onto the front then the spare on the back. PITA? yes, saves a call from to AAA? yes.

BTW. Only you guys understand what I am talking and saying/writing. I live in Edmonton, Alberta. (About 7 hours NORTH of the US border) Trips 2 hours NORTH with dropping out cellphone signals and no spare tire? I think we have to cancel that and take the Grand Cherokee to do that. Bye bye to the trips we enjoyed with our 2005 convertible through the wildlife parks. Yes. You guys are correct. If we do a longer trip we should through in a 19" wheel also that it is not ideal. :faint:

Wondering if the spare tire will fit the rear end of the Mustang Ecoboost with PP. I know it won't fit the front, but if I got a flat, I would just rotate a tire from the rear to the front and put the spare on the rear.

Ok, let's clarify something:

The problem with fitting the front calipers is for the GT Performance Pack. The Ecoboost Performance Pack has the same brakes as the base GT -- and the spare tire will absolutely fit over those since I've tried that already.

If you have the GT Performance Pack, you need to stick a full-sized tire in the trunk. If you have the Ecoboost Performance Pack, the regular donut from any other 2015 Mustang will work.

It won't fit on the GT Performance Pack. It will fit on the Ecoboost Performance Pack.

Spare tires also aren't available with the optional 20 inch wheels, which contain no brake changes at all. If the spare is available with everything except the Performance Pack and the 20" wheels, I'd have to guess that it has something to do with those both coming with summer tires (everything else comes with all-seasons). It's not tire size; all Mustang tires, regardless of wheel size, are 27".
