Hello. The offset on the AMR rims I went with aren't aggressive enough so I'm looking to push them out a little with the 10mm spacers here https://www.motorsport-tech.com/wheel_adapters_pop_car_d1

Will I have enough thread on the stock studs to properly secure the tires? Hopefully but if not, how hard is it to change to studs to something 10mm longer?

Thanks,

Any spacer larger than 3-5mm will need longer studs in order to engage enough threads to run safely.

Dunno about the ease of changing studs, someone else will have to chime in there.

Thanks guys. I'll look into the stock size studs and see what works. I'm not sure how the sizing works though. What does 14mm represent, I'm guessing diameter.

How much longer are the F350 studs?

S550 and f350 use a 14millimeter thread

5 mm is the most you wanna do on stock studs, if you use a 10 mm spacer you need extended studs.

You could do a 12 mm apdater which is another good option.

They make a bolt on 15mm spacer. I was thinking of picking up some from wheels to make them more aggressive as well. I've already got 5mm spacers but it's not enough. I tried stacking them see if that would work. I could only get a about 4-5 turns. Definitely not safe enough.

Actually he can and you can too!

No you can't. Stop spreading fals info.
Were on same team here. Forum exists, in part, for constructive exchange of info here for benefit of S550 owners and all stake holders in Mustang success including vendors.
So... Can you mod that post to be more constructive?
How do we learn more about the issue you have with the post?
You still have the bolts that "dont work"?

We used to recommend it was ok to run a thin spacer with the stock studs but we do not recommend any spacers on the factory studs. They are just too short. The two pictures illustrate this. The one with the nut flush to the top of the stud is on a factory PP wheel with no spacer. The picture with the stud about .300" inside the nut is with an 8mm spacer.

To have 14mm of thread engaged the maximum you could run would be about 5mm spacer and this is a compromise because you are giving up about 25% of a typical lug nuts engagement surface. Roughly the standard is 1.5 times thread diameter. The nuts used in the picture have about 20mm of thread area.

Again, you are free to do what you want but WE do not recommend it.
