Hey all,
Long time lurker here but first time poster. Have a huge issue on hand. Previous owner of my s550 installed 1 inch spacers and I just bought myself a brand new set of Ferrrada FR4's. They are mounted and ready to go on however I cannot get the nuts off the spacers. Whoever installed them used loctite and the nuts are aluminum. So far we've tried giant breaker bars, impact wrenches, heating with MAPP gas, nut extractor tools, using smaller sockets pounded on to the nuts, wd40, other penetrating oils and nothing has worked. The nuts are cheap aluminum garbage and most of the nuts have rounded under the torque. Any other ideas?? Took it to two mechanic buddies and both advised drilling the studs out and replacing them. Not wanting to spend that much though.
