So, I have a friend who has the same 2015 V6 mustang. the odometers are almost the same as well. but the other car sounds much better than mine. it is more throaty, deeper and laud. I am sure both of them are 100% stock.
Moreover, the other one is little bit more responsive and accelerates better. I can feel the difference.
Air filters are same too and they are new.

What can be the reason for that?
Thanks

One CA emissions car and one non-CA emissions car? I just pulled that one out of my ass, not sure if it would make a difference...

2015 V6 auto stock exhaust system, has a very deep roar tone with out the poping and cracking. I used the old way by down shifting to 2nd using the back pressure to clean the exhaust system out for the first 3000 miles.

Maybe it is the classic no two cars are the same. Parts are made within tolerance so slight variations are to be expected, so maybe your friend lucked into a better sounding engine/exhaust. Or he added something and forgot about it.

I think only differences can be oil inside the cars and the octane of the fuel. That is why I am having the same conclusion with you.

Some parts maybe manufactured or assemble with different tolerances so it vibrates and resonates in a different tone.
