How do they keep the rear window clean?
This shot looks like a wiper cleaned it:gossip:

And yet we still buy BMW 3 series coupes (soon to be 4-series), A5 coupes and Merc C Class coupes.......all "booted" :)

However, as long as it didn't impact structural regidity, I wouldn't mind too much.

And as for the spyshot............the camo kept the window clean :p

Besides..........didn't someone who said they were at the scene of the "prototypes at the hotel" claim to see someone open a trunk and it looked smaller than the current one? Or did I dream that?

Call me an idiot but I don't see a wiper or any thing that may look like wiper marks. Help?

Yea I think they said the trunk lid was pretty short. Anyhow I doubt current volume can justify another body style.

I agree it could be a big hit in europe and even the U.S. I don't think it's a demand issue. Didn't the hatch outsell the coupe most of the years it was offered?

don't say Hatchback... then all I'll hear is Golf, Yaris etc. I'm soooo sick of these box cars everywhere... I can go fastback though even if that Mondeo doesn't look anything like a Golf :D

Indeed, I've been saying that they need hatchback design for quite a while, long before finding this forum. It would make the car far, far more practical. There is no negative of any sort, just benefits. In Europe, they would be really hurting their sales without a hatchback. Note that the Corvette is a hatchback.

Very astute observation. It looks like a dirt line on the top right side of the window that would be made exactly like a wiper sweeping across the window. At first I thought maybe it was the front window but I don't think it is.

Not sure how I feel about a rear wiper on the Stang.

It's hard to say, it really could be anything from tape to dirt or just a weird reflection. It would be intersting I'm sure there is a reason for how well hidden that roof and rear is hidden.

There's also no guarantee of rear wipers even on a hatch. I believe only the 79-82 Fox Mustangs had rear wipers altho with safety standards now it would make sense.

Oh boy...

I see nothing that resembles a hatchback on the prototypes. Hell, even the zipper lines on the trunk area don't go back far enough to identify a hatchback. Europe might like them, but the Mustang doesn't need one.

That said, when is the Fusion getting HID headlamps? They put them on damn near everything else in the lineup, except their volume C-segment sedan. What gives?
