I don't really buy the up-sell theory.
They apparently spent a lot of time engineering the sound and probaby did too good of a job trying to keep the cabin quiet.
“The Mustang engineering team – from studio, chassis, body, powertrain, dynamics, NVH and aerodynamics – collaborated to create...
Ford announces details on innovative techniques used to develop its all-new 2015 Mustang and F-150 – two of 23 products coming to market globally in 2014 that are the result of the company’s strong supplier relationships. At the Center for Automotive Research Management Briefing Seminar...
Interesting. I didn't know Clor worked for Ford (sounds like some kind of freelance work). Certainly lends some credibility to the theory, if he does have inside knowledge of "marketing communications."
This will make the decision to wait a little less painful if we can get at least a sneak...
Guillermo you lucky dog!
I have no doubt Ruby Red will look as superb on the new Mustang as it does on the F-150. That deep red metallic with a stone leather interior is going to be just about perfect in my eyes.
Hence the "ghost" part. :) No intention of taking anything away from you of course, and as I said I like the idea.
I'm really hoping after April 17, Ford will allow some of the aftermarket vendors to show what they have been working on. Can't wait to see.
Ghost rendering now Chaz?
Good work. If there is any part of the new design that could use a little help it is the side profile. I can see decals being popular and a unique scoop working its way back into the design in a refresh. Hopefully the aftermarket or even ford pays attention to all...
I really don't see why Ford has to show the GT350 for it to be special. Complete production versions have not been shown yet and they could have a few surprises up their sleeve, including weight/power info, an anniversary color, new wheels, new interior colors, different badges, packages, etc...
I was at the Philly show also. It is Guard.
The lighting in your pictures is not helping but Magnetic is much more of a solid metallic gray. Guard has a green hue to it.
I don't know what to say to it "looks" longer when it is 0.2" shorter. And I would agree I want it to be 90% of its size but it has nothing to do with the 2015. It's just Mustangs have gotten too big over the years but this is more true of the current car than the 2015.
Another comparison...
You my man, need glasses (regarding your comments about size). I recently visited some family in Philadelphia and saw the car in person also and it is significantly smaller looking than the 2014 GT500. It also boggles my mind someone who loves the 2011 design complaining about the 2015 having a...
The 14 is a great car so you can't go wrong either way. But I disagree with your assessments of the new car. The 2015 is wider/lower and has some sick haunches. That makes it look more muscular and aggressive to me than the current car. It is more tapered looking at the edges so in that sense it...
Rumor is that it will be unveiled at Detroit in a week. Has anyone been interested in this car and following news about it?
How do we think it'll stack up?
