Let's hope that it's a tire defect and somebody didn't do that just to be a jerk.
When I got my S550 and showed my dad, he said he knew somebody who had one in the 60s or 70s of a similar colour and it got keyed pretty badly by somebody who was jealous. He is concerned about it happening to mine.
On my second day of ownership, I was turning right on a street and this squeegee type guy holding a cardboard sign was just standing on the street corner near the curb, not planning to cross (the light was green for a while). Then as soon as I made my turn he tried to dart in front of my fucking car. I had to gas it a bit to avoid him and I'm pretty sure he shouted something at me.
Like they say in Pulp Fiction, anybody who vandalizes a car deserves death.
