Some grease visible around the front axle boot. Normal?

I just noticed this while changing my oil. Is it normal or should it be looked at? Thanks

Not an axle boot. It's your power steering rack. Clean it off and see if it returns. Looks more like some grease was a dropped on it at some point.

Right. Power steering rack boot.

I have to try and get a look on the passenger side to determine if it looks the same.

Both of mine looked like that when I took delivery…wiped it clean and it never came back

Okay thanks. So strange I never noticed it before but I guess I just never shined my flashlight in that particular direction earlier.

Just changed my oil and saw the same grease in the same spot. Sounds like its normal.
